The province of Chiriqui is located at the southwest corner of the Republic of Panama and has an area of 8,653.23 km2. This province has different and extreme contrasts, such as flat coasts and high mountains exceeding 3,000 meters.

Chiriqui highlands are of volcanic origin and they occupy almost the majority of the central cordillera. The mild climate of the mountainous area is characteristic of the higher areas of the province fully enjoyed in Cerro Punta, Volcan and Boquete.

In these areas the rainfall is abundant, almost nine months a year, which contributes to a more pleasant climate of this region. The diversity of climate makes Chiriqui is one of the most productive provinces of the country.

Boquete coffee, as well as oranges, are considered among the best, with strawberries from Cerro Punta. On the other hand, farms and livestock products they generate a significant income to the region. Chiriqui is undoubtedly one of the richest regions of the country.
